Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Skå IK's Ove Målare started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Rickard Lundberg notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Olympique Lund's Manfred Skoog. Manfred Skoog was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th match minute, Skå IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Löv to maneuver through the defense. Rickard Lundberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manfred Skoog having to make a save. A collision led to Olympique Lund getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Wictor Botvidsson hit a great ball. After 18 minutes of play, Skå IK's Rickard Lundberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manfred Skoog was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ove Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Rickard Lundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manfred Skoog was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rickard Lundberg in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfred Skoog prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars Täman to make the kick off. Kenny Nässén hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Ove Målare received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manfred Skoog came out and tried to block the shot, but Ove Målare slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 54th minute. Ove Målare fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Skoog having to interfere. Ove Målare could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Manfred Skoog made a huge save. If Ove Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Olympique Lund's zone, Rickard Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manfred Skoog came out of the goal and Rickard Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 78th minute Ove Målare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rickard Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Skoog having to interfere. Jack Morat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 89 minutes into the game, Wictor Botvidsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympique Lund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skå IK the free kick. 90 minutes into the match, Olympique Lund's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Målare came free, but Manfred Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 played minutes Olympique Lund got a freekick which was hit by Birger Brenner. 95 minutes into the match, Skå IK's Ove Målare sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfred Skoog narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
