Spectators: 7468 (Terracing: 5602, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lars Täman got the match started through his kick off. Jim Månsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 6 played minutes Njurunda IK got a freekick which was hit by Anton Sundberg. Lars Täman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yngve Ekelund having to make a save. Jim Månsson had several of the Olympique Lund's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 12 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Manfred Skoog as he didn't even see the shot coming. Yngve Ekelund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonard Engström in the 18th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Lars Täman put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Yngve Ekelund. In the 26th minute Leonard Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yngve Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Njurunda IK's Dan Svensson in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympique Lund's goalie prevented a goal. Njurunda IK's Jim Månsson got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Leonard Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Svensson was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Dan Svensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Njurunda IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The long shot by Kenny Nässén in the 57th minute really tested Yngve Ekelund's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Lars Täman came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Olympique Lund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Täman couldn't finish the play. If Jim Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Olympique Lund's goal looked a bit too open when Jim Månsson came free, but Manfred Skoog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jim Månsson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Manfred Skoog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Njurunda IK. 78 minutes into the game, Olympique Lund's Leonard Engström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yngve Ekelund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Månsson in the 83rd minute of play forced Olympique Lund's goalkeeper Manfred Skoog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manfred Skoog showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Månsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute Dan Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Leonard Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Lund's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Engström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Ekelund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Täman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Yngve Ekelund came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars Täman slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 93rd minute. If Leonard Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Olympique Lund eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
