After a rather tough play, Eksjö IFK's John Lind got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 32nd minute, Hjalmar Blom ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hjalmar Blom in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Isaac Runeberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Rune Grep made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Leonard Melander could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Rune Grep however easily saved by the left post. Rune Grep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hjalmar Blom was the one to do the kick off.
