In the 5th minute, Sebastian Mellin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the game, Marko Gustafsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ryssby FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vårby the free kick. In the 8th minute, Marko Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Mellin got free with Johannes Mattsson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ryssby FK booed when Vårby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Gunnarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Mellin in the 17th minute of play forced Ryssby FK's goalkeeper Johannes Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sebastian Mellin came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Vårby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Mellin couldn't finish the play. Sebastian Mellin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Johannes Mattsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Isaac Gunnarsson got his second yellow card in the match during the 24th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 25 played minutes Vårby got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Gunnarsson. Kristoffer Rosendahl hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With his leg Johannes Mattsson managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Vårby's Oscar Alfors fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alexander Magnusson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Magnusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexander Magnusson hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves Oscar Alfors could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Johannes Mattsson however easily saved by the left post. After a rather tough play, Ryssby FK's Marko Gustafsson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Nils Tidén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nils Tidén struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Johannes Mattsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vårby. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Ryssby FK's zone, Sebastian Mellin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Mattsson came out of the goal and Sebastian Mellin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Nils Tidén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vårby's supporters rose to their feet, but Nils Tidén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Mattsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Alfors in the 63rd minute of play forced Ryssby FK's goalkeeper Johannes Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nils Tidén in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johannes Mattsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Vårby booed when Ryssby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Tidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Johannes Mattsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Sebastian Mellin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johannes Mattsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 79 minutes of play, Ryssby FK's Marko Gustafsson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johan Beckman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nils Tidén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Alvar Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ryssby FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvar Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johan Beckman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Edgar Uter fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vårby's protests and gave Edgar Uter a yellow card for diving instead. Edgar Uter hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
