The Goa Gubbar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brian Linqvist should have stopped the shot. Gunnar Carlsson made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Petter Salkvist sent off a good shot on target. After 20 played minutes Edsbro got a freekick which was hit by Brian Hjelm. Petter Salkvist struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gunnar Carlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goa Gubbar FC. Gunnar Carlsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carl Bengtsson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Gunnar Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Wallgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Goa Gubbar FC booed when Edsbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Nordstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Edsbro's goalkeeper Gunnar Carlsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Goa Gubbar FC's Gunnar Wallgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Carlsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gunnar Carlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Bengtsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 42nd match minute, Edsbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Hjelm to maneuver through the defense. Brian Linqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Hjelm in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brian Hjelm made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Edsbro got a freekick which was hit by Robin Jönsson. When Fredric Kråk fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goa Gubbar FC's protests and gave Fredric Kråk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Fredric Kråk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute of the match Robin Jönsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Linqvist showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gunnar Wallgren in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunnar Carlsson saved Edsbro from getting behind. Fredric Kråk hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gunnar Wallgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Carlsson was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. After 75 minutes, Aron Mogren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goa Gubbar FC and the Edsbro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brian Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Hjelm, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Gunnar Wallgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Edsbro got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Nordstedt. In the 91st minute Gunnar Wallgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petter Salkvist took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunnar Carlsson. Gunnar Carlsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
