Valentin Wassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Carlsson having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Edsbro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Hydén fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kevin Hydén's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Gunnar Carlsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Edvin Nordstedt fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edsbro's protests and gave Edvin Nordstedt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Edsbro's Edvin Nordstedt got a free kick in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Thomas Bodin notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Edsbro's Gunnar Carlsson. Gunnar Carlsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Edsbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Carlsson should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brian Hjelm to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kevin Hydén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santiagowanderes ifk's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Hydén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Carlsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Kjell-Arne Fagerberg managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Edsbro's Brian Hjelm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59th minute Kevin Hydén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Carlsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brian Hjelm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Hydén in the 66th minute of play forced Edsbro's goalkeeper Gunnar Carlsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnar Carlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The shot was stopped by Kjell-Arne Fagerberg but with some difficulty. Santiagowanderes ifk's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
