Spectators: 7432 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 150) Joakim Holmgren made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Michael Poulsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Korsberga's Paul Vacker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 5th minute, Joakim Holmgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul Vacker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Holmgren's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Joakim Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västra Frölunda's supporters rose to their feet, but Joakim Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Vacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paul Vacker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Holmgren in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Joakim Holmgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Vacker was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joakim Holmgren in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Vacker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paul Vacker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Västra Frölunda's Otto Linqvist got control of the ball when Tommy Snell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Joakim Holmgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Korsberga's Paul Vacker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Michael Poulsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Vacker came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Västra Frölunda's Joakim Holmgren. But to his dismay, Joakim Holmgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 40 minutes into the match, Michael Poulsen notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Korsberga's Paul Vacker. Paul Vacker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Korsberga's Egil Håkansson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egil Håkansson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Korsberga protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egil Håkansson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th minute, one of Korsberga:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Korsberga. In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Västra Frölunda. Jimmie Strand stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paul Vacker. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After having played for 57 minutes, Michael Poulsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västra Frölunda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Poulsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Joakim Holmgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Vacker was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Michael Poulsen struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Paul Vacker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västra Frölunda. In the 75th minute of the match Västra Frölunda got a corner. Korsberga's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Poulsen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Paul Vacker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Holmgren in the 76th minute of the match. When Michael Poulsen came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Västra Frölunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Poulsen couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Egil Lundin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joakim Holmgren did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Paul Vacker 89 minutes into the match. Joakim Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Vacker having to interfere. After 96 minutes, Egil Lundin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Korsberga and the Västra Frölunda players grew even worse after the yellow card.
