After a defensive mix-up in Rödeby's zone, Nils-Emil Nordstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Hultstrand came out of the goal and Nils-Emil Nordstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torsten Svensson's late challenge caught a Stat Kings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Börje Lundberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torsten Hultstrand made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Peter Lundström sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute of the match Stat Kings got a corner. Rödeby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jarl Bergfeldt ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Stat Kings's corner Jarl Bergfeldt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Torsten Hultstrand quite easily take care of the ball. Börje Lundberg struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Torsten Hultstrand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stat Kings. In the 61st match minute, Rödeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Ennegren to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th match minute, Rödeby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Knutsson to maneuver through the defense. Börje Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Hultstrand having to interfere. Torsten Hultstrand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Lundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
