Otto Linqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Nordlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joakim Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Cisco having to interfere. After 21 minutes of play, Västra Frölunda's Joakim Holmgren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lino Cisco was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 24 played minutes Västra Frölunda got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Czekaj. If Michael Poulsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Jönsson made in the 37th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Michael Poulsen immediately put the ball in play. In the 55th minute Max Bäckman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Cisco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lino Cisco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After a rather tough play, FC Vitteryd's Rickard Snäll got a free kick in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Västra Frölunda fully deserved thier win.
