After having played for 6 minutes, Christopher Lundgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fagerhult's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christopher Lundgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Fagerhult's Klas Forsman got a free kick in the 10th minute. Fagerhult's Patrik Lindmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Salqvist in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Fagerhult booed when Hässelby BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Salqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olov Brolin made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Christopher Lundgren sent off a good shot on target. If Marcus Nyberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Fagerhult defense, Jakob Hök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrik Lindmark. The Fagerhult fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrik Lindmark should have stopped the shot. In the 28th match minute, Fagerhult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Persson to maneuver through the defense. Olov Brolin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Lustig in the 31st minute of the match. Allan Lustig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Brolin having to interfere. Olov Brolin made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Christopher Lundgren sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Allan Lustig took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Olov Brolin to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute, Allan Lustig fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Patrik Lindmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Salqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Nyberg made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Allan Lustig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Brolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt Wennerström struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Olov Brolin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fagerhult. The audience was convinced that Christopher Lundgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Brolin was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Fagerhult's zone, Björn Salqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Lindmark came out of the goal and Björn Salqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
