After a rather tough play, FC Ranta's Pål Brandt got a free kick in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Holmgren in the 12th minute of play forced FC Ranta's goalkeeper Oskar Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Max Bäckman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oskar Norberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Max Bäckman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. Pål Brandt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Ranta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when Joakim Holmgren scored to the left of an out of position Oskar Norberg, making the score, 2-1. In the 25th match minute, Västra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Bäckman to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Västra Frölunda's goal looked a bit too open when Alvar Byström came free, but Otto Linqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joakim Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, FC Ranta's goalkeeper Oskar Norberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joakim Holmgren. Joakim Holmgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Oskar Norberg made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Holmgren in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oskar Norberg saved FC Ranta from getting behind.

FC Ranta made a substitution. Elliot Aronsson replaced Arvin Billvall. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joakim Holmgren made a kick off. Olgierd Czekaj hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The supporters of Västra Frölunda booed when FC Ranta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pål Brandt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Michael Poulsen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oskar Norberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Ranta's Mikael Vallander got a free kick in the 59th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Västra Frölunda's Michael Poulsen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Oskar Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmie Strand in the 71st minute of the match. FC Ranta's Oskar Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Holmgren in the 73rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joakim Holmgren in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oskar Norberg saved FC Ranta from getting behind. 77 minutes into the game, Olgierd Czekaj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Oskar Norberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Västra Frölunda's Joakim Holmgren in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
