Rödeby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dan Fribäck ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Dan Fribäck got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Torsten Hultstrand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

52 minutes into the game, Jim Nordin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rödeby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sörberge the free kick. The Rödeby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Torsten Hultstrand should have stopped the shot. Dan Fribäck who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Torsten Hultstrand when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
