Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Allan Lustig started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Holmgren couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fagerhult's zone, Joakim Holmgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrik Lindmark came out of the goal and Joakim Holmgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Linqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Lustig in the 13th minute of the match. Patrik Lindmark stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Holmgren's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Claes Valström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrik Lindmark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Holmgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrik Lindmark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tom Persson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Västra Frölunda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Poulsen to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes Västra Frölunda got a freekick which was hit by Christian Arenstedt. After the first half Västra Frölunda were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joakim Holmgren was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Fagerhult's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jimmie Strand fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Adam Hedlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patrik Lindmark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olgierd Czekaj struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Patrik Lindmark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Västra Frölunda. When Tom Persson fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fagerhult's protests and gave Tom Persson a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 minutes, Joakim Holmgren made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Fagerhult's Patrik Lindmark tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Otto Linqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Valström, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Adam Hedlund kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
