Harry Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Nyberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harry Lundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Nyberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Harry Lundström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Salqvist in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes of play, AS Roma's Richard Brenner made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olov Brolin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 20th minute Herbert Hjortsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Brolin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jakob Hök kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Olov Brolin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Olof Jonasson had several of the Hässelby BK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Olov Brolin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Hässelby BK's Olov Brolin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Jonasson in the 40th minute of play. Olov Brolin made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Herbert Hjortsberg sent off a good shot on target. Jakob Hök's late challenge caught a AS Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakob Hök helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd match minute, Hässelby BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Hök to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Hässelby BK booed when AS Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Edström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olof Jonasson might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olov Brolin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olof Jonasson ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Hässelby BK's Harry Lundström threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcus Nyberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hässelby BK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Björn Salqvist's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Harry Lundström firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Olof Jonasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Brolin was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Greger Västberg kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Olov Brolin came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by AS Roma's Olof Jonasson. But to his dismay, Olof Jonasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Björn Salqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Lundström having to interfere. In the 84th minute Marcus Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Lundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When AS Roma's Olof Jonasson in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hässelby BK's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, AS Roma's Herbert Hjortsberg got a free kick in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the game, Hässelby BK's Björn Salqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harry Lundström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When Herbert Hjortsberg came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the AS Roma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herbert Hjortsberg couldn't finish the play. There was no doubt that AS Roma were the better team. AS Roma's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
