Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 15 minutes into the match, unitofswe's Stig Holmgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Lundberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, Jarlabergs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Holmgren came free, but Emanuel Lundberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Sven-Ove Sandwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Jarlabergs IF's Karl Ivarsson got a free kick in the 31st minute. Emanuel Lundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pål Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Karl Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magne Strömbom hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Stig Holmgren's late challenge caught a Jarlabergs IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig Holmgren helped the player get up and apologised. Emanuel Lundberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Holmgren in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pål Bergman to strike the kick off in the second half. Stig Holmgren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emanuel Lundberg having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Jarlabergs IF's Kristian Beneth got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Asserlindh during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Jarlabergs IF got a freekick which was hit by Anders Asserlindh. A hard shot by Josef Gunnarsson from long distance, 87 minutes into the match, got Emanuel Lundberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 89 minutes into the game, Anthon Grönlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jarlabergs IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave unitofswe the free kick.
