The Golf United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sten Josefsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Nyqvist in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, one of Golf United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half Golf United were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
