With an all-out effort, AIK's Juozapas Garbačiauskas threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Iamín Ocaña, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute Edmund Pacholewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Boaventura in the 69th minute of play forced Galo Soccers's goalkeeper Juozapas Garbačiauskas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Okan Čiček made a precise shot to the right of Juozapas Garbačiauskas. Galo Soccers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After some careless play in the Galo Soccers defense, Okan Čiček kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juozapas Garbačiauskas. The Galo Soccers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juozapas Garbačiauskas should have stopped the shot. Galo Soccers made a substitution. Johnny Hegg replaced Lukas Kihlman. Johnny Heggs short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Sten Walroth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Juozapas Garbačiauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Boaventura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnny Hegg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Sten Walroth made a huge save. In the 88th minute Belchior Boaventura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juozapas Garbačiauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, AIK's Sakarias Lundin got a free kick in the 89th minute. Galo Soccers's Malte Biörk was substituted for Jon Allbom. In the 90th match minute, AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Lundin to maneuver through the defense. Sakarias Lundin lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 94th minute, when Galo Soccers's Thomas Izaguirre after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Sten Walroth in AIK's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch.
