An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Oskar Fogel in the 5th minute of play forced Klavreström FK's goalkeeper Tim Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klavreström FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Ragnar Rydelius scored to the left of an out of position Tim Linquist, making the score, 1-0. Kevin Rosen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Kevin Rosen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tim Linquist. Klavreström FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Rosen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to Klavreström FK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Charlie Eklund hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jon Sigman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västra Frölunda IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Sigman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Linquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Klavreström FK's Petter Sandwall got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Ragnar Rydelius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Västra Frölunda IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Rydelius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Zebastian Back hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Klavreström FK's zone, Karl-Oskar Fogel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Linquist came out of the goal and Karl-Oskar Fogel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jon Sigman hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Kevin Rosen scored 4-0 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Linquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ralf Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verner Vester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Linquist having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Rosen was the one to do the kick off. Tim Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Rosen, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Klavreström FK's Tim Linquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Erik Pilgren in the 60th minute of play. Tim Linquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Rosen in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Klavreström FK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Charlie Eklund hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Klavreström FK's Charlie Eklund got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute Ragnar Rydelius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Linquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralf Berggren's late challenge caught a Västra Frölunda IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralf Berggren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Klavreström FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Berggren to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Kevin Rosen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Västra Frölunda IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 75thth minute of the game Kevin Rosen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Klavreström FK's Tim Linquist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Måns Nyström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sigvard Hedman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Ralf Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes Västra Frölunda IF got a freekick which was hit by Martin Melberg. There was no doubt that Västra Frölunda IF were the better team. Västra Frölunda IF's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
