Höjden BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Ove Ivarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gianluigi Buffon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Höjden BK's goalkeeper Ivar Mårtensson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Höjden BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Gustafsson to maneuver through the defense. If Lennart Lägdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norråker's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egil Gustafsson in the 29th minute of play. Gianluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egil Gustafsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Johnny Håkansson from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Gianluigi Buffon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thor Ödman's late challenge caught a Höjden BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thor Ödman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Höjden BK booed when Norråker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Ödman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes, Norråker's Edvin Lind shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivar Mårtensson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Norråker reached it. Lennart Lägdin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Ove Ivarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Norråker's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
