A collision led to Åskloster FF getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Karl-Axel Ahlqvist hit a great ball. The corner led Salem Hotspurs FC's Jens-Erik Mager to fire away a dangerous shot which Stig Vidman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Johnny Ennegren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Stig Vidman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Åskloster FF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Jens-Erik Mager's late challenge caught a Åskloster FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jens-Erik Mager helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Jens-Erik Mager hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Ennegren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Stig Vidman made a huge save. In the 28thth minute of the game Johnny Ennegren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åskloster FF's Stig Vidman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adeng Pelani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Stig Vidman made a huge save. Claes Pettersson kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Åskloster FF got a freekick which was hit by Emil Sefastsson. 46 minutes into the match, Åskloster FF's goalkeeper Stig Vidman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adeng Pelani. Åskloster FF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Adeng Pelani scored to the left of an out of position Stig Vidman, making the score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Johnny Ennegren was the one to do the kick off. Stig Vidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Ennegren in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Åskloster FF's Jens-Ove Bergström got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of Åskloster FF booed when Salem Hotspurs FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Modig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt Fagrell charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt Fagrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 70 played minutes Åskloster FF got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Fagrell. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Åskloster FF's goalkeeper Stig Vidman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th match minute, Åskloster FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Sefastsson to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Johnny Ennegren in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig Vidman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stig Vidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidar Bäckman in the 79th minute of the match. Stig Vidman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Ennegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Stig Vidman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johnny Ennegren's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Stig Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vidar Bäckman in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Adeng Pelani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Vidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adeng Pelani in the 95th minute of play forced Åskloster FF's goalkeeper Stig Vidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Johnny Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig Vidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salem Hotspurs FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Åskloster FF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
