The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Banana Juicers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulf Rudqvist to maneuver through the defense. Vilhelm Kjellbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Strömqvist in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Bergen's Harry Nordin got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th match minute, Banana Juicers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Åke Örtlund to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Banana Juicers's zone, Rickard Käcker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilhelm Kjellbom came out of the goal and Rickard Käcker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, IFK Bergen's goalkeeper Johan Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Igelström. The supporters of IFK Bergen booed when Banana Juicers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Rudqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Harry Nordin sped through Banana Juicers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vilhelm Kjellbom. Vilhelm Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Nordin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Kjellbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Nordin's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Banana Juicers defense, Harry Nordin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vilhelm Kjellbom. The Banana Juicers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vilhelm Kjellbom should have stopped the shot. Banana Juicers's Vilhelm Kjellbom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudolf Stensson in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

IFK Bergen's Axel Ståhlberg was substituted for Harry Nordin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petter Strömqvist got free with Vilhelm Kjellbom in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vilhelm Kjellbom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Stensson in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the game, Knut Nordgren threw the ball into play from the sideline. IFK Bergen's Rickard Käcker quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. IFK Bergen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolf Stensson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Axel Ståhlberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilhelm Kjellbom was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Vilhelm Kjellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tage Sävström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Ivar Pilblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. IFK Bergen's Östen Nordin got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Banana Juicers's goalkeeper Vilhelm Kjellbom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Håkansson. Vilhelm Kjellbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Stensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. The IFK Bergen fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when IFK Bergen's Axel Ståhlberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. IFK Bergen made a substitution. Rudolf Wenerdahl replaced Olov Kaxe. 92 minutes into the game, IFK Bergen's Axel Ståhlberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vilhelm Kjellbom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Petter Strömqvist got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mark Håkansson. Vilhelm Kjellbom made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Rudolf Stensson sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of IFK Bergen booed when Banana Juicers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulf Rudqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. IFK Bergen played a much better game than Banana Juicers and deserved their victory. The Banana Juicers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
