The audience thought a goal was coming when Ermegildo Indartsu got free with Edgar Poe in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 25 minutes, Florian Flaskgaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royal Excel Mouscron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Flaskgaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Royal Excel Mouscron had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
