Christian Wenerdahl made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Valdemar Tomasson sent off a good shot on target. 8 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Petersson came free, but Folke Bure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Jens-Ove Lindkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Bure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Byström in the 17th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar Tomasson in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Wenerdahl saved IFK Göteborg from getting behind. The throw-in from Maximilian Gustafsson in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by IFK Göteborg's Mattias Kilman. The supporters of North Pole Kickers booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Öfverman didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to IFK Göteborg getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mattias Kilman hit a great ball. Christian Wenerdahl made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Valdemar Tomasson sent off a good shot on target. Christian Wenerdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villiam Tholsson in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Ingvar Hellgren. Villiam Tholsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Christian Wenerdahl made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Tomasson got free with Christian Wenerdahl in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torsten Petersson to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, North Pole Kickers's goalkeeper Folke Bure had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torsten Petersson. In the 54th match minute, IFK Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Kilman to maneuver through the defense. After 55 minutes of play, North Pole Kickers's Valdemar Tomasson made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Wenerdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to IFK Göteborg getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Kent Löfkvist hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Göteborg's zone, Anders Byström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Wenerdahl came out of the goal and Anders Byström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th match minute, IFK Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Petersson to maneuver through the defense. 68 minutes into the game, North Pole Kickers's Valdemar Tomasson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Wenerdahl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Ahlbeck in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Kilman. After 79 minutes, Valdemar Tomasson made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. IFK Göteborg's Christian Wenerdahl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Valdemar Tomasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christian Wenerdahl was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 84th minute, Pere Noel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christian Wenerdahl was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. 89 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Tomasson came free, but Christian Wenerdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Tomasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Wenerdahl having to interfere. After a rather tough play, IFK Göteborg's Mattias Kilman got a free kick in the 94th minute. Christian Wenerdahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdemar Tomasson went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score.
