The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olov Söderström charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olov Söderström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bennis getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Olov Söderström hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the game, Magne Hurtig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Benbrott BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bennis the free kick. After a rather tough play, Benbrott BK's Magne Hurtig got a free kick in the 4th minute. Benbrott BK's Jüri Ratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Bergqvist in the 8th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Benbrott BK got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Linqvist. Marcus Vase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes Benbrott BK got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Bergqvist. Mattias Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcus Vase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jüri Ratas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Ellen in the 16th minute of play. Mattias Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Alfons Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37thth minute of the game Mattias Bergqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bennis's Marcus Vase was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Mattias Bergqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Vase. Bennis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mattias Bergqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mårten Lindqvist during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bennis booed when Benbrott BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mårten Lindqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hans Kielberg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mattias Bergqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benny Ellen's late challenge caught a Benbrott BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benny Ellen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Benbrott BK booed when Bennis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Ellen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Bergqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Bergqvist in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Benbrott BK's Mattias Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Vase made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After 66 played minutes Adam Bergqvist rounded Benbrott BK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. Marcus Vase stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Finman's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Bennis's goal looked a bit too open when Emil Finman came free, but Marcus Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Bergqvist in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Vase prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 82 played minutes Bennis got a freekick which was hit by Hans Kielberg. When Benbrott BK's Mattias Bergqvist in 90 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Marcus Vase guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 95th match minute, Bennis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Kielberg to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bennis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Benbrott BK.
