Spectators: 7608 (Terracing: 5747, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 100) Öje RK's Vural Mustafa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Börge Gallberg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Målilla Goif defense, Vural Mustafa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobald Kosiorek. The Målilla Goif fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobald Kosiorek should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Målilla Goif's zone, Kristoffer Säf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobald Kosiorek came out of the goal and Kristoffer Säf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Målilla Goif's Tim Fredriksson managed to work through Öje RK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tim Fredriksson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folke Wennersten in the 20th minute of play forced Öje RK's goalkeeper Cássio Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kristoffer Säf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Wennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cássio Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tim Fredriksson in the 25th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Tim Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Koukos made in the 28th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Målilla Goif's Anton Ahlerot. If Folke Wennersten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Öje RK got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Gali. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Öje RK's goalkeeper Cássio Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Öje RK's Vural Mustafa in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Målilla Goif's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tim Fredriksson to strike the kick off in the second half. Målilla Goif's Teobald Kosiorek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Säf in the 58th minute of play. Teobald Kosiorek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristoffer Säf in the 66th minute of play. 66 minutes into the game, Göran Vallengren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Målilla Goif's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Öje RK the free kick. Öje RK made a substitution. Svante Jonsson replaced Ola Sundling. After a rather tough play, Målilla Goif's Göran Vallengren got a free kick in the 68th minute. Teobald Kosiorek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristoffer Säf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes Målilla Goif's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven-Åke Gali who took care of the corner kick. Nikos Koukos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Kristoffer Säf might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teobald Kosiorek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristoffer Säf ran back to his position shaking his head. Cássio Pimenta made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Folke Wennersten sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristoffer Säf in the 77th minute of play forced Målilla Goif's goalkeeper Teobald Kosiorek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cássio Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Wennersten in the 90th minute of play. Öje RK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Målilla Goif had controlled the match.
