The audience thought a goal was coming when Timmy Grubb got free with Michal Hojnoš in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frölundaboys's Claes Stenström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Johnsson in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Kalfhage got free with Michal Hojnoš in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Claes Stenström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Modig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claes Stenström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Johnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Bolander during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Frölundaboys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Bolander to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Åkeshovs reservlag's Robert Modig got a free kick in the 37th minute.

Åkeshovs reservlag's Alvar Johnsson was substituted for Björn Alrot. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Richard Kalfhage to strike the kick off in the second half. If Björn Gudmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Frölundaboys defense, Björn Gudmundsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claes Stenström. The Frölundaboys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claes Stenström should have stopped the shot. Åkeshovs reservlag's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Modig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Stenström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94th minute, Rikard Vesterberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claes Stenström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Claes Stenström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Björn Gudmundsson in the 97th minute. Åkeshovs reservlag played a much better game than Frölundaboys and deserved their victory. The Frölundaboys players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
