Herman Vedholm charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herman Vedholm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Henrik Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apal Olmedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Bradagain Baadegaard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Henrik Sjögren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 minutes of play, Fluminense's Bradagain Baadegaard made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrik Sjögren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Apal Olmedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Henrik Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Sjögren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apal Olmedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in ⒻC SⓌAG fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Fluminense a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Torsten Höijer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of ⒻC SⓌAG's Henrik Sjögren. 0-3. Torsten Höijer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Henrik Sjögren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ⒻC SⓌAG's Bertil Persson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Fluminense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincent Cytrynski to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Österlund in the 46th minute of play forced ⒻC SⓌAG's goalkeeper Henrik Sjögren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bradagain Baadegaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, ⒻC SⓌAG's Bertil Persson made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carsten Sloothaak was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 minutes of play ⒻC SⓌAG's Herman Vedholm was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Fluminense booed when ⒻC SⓌAG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henrik Sjögren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bradagain Baadegaard's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Henrik Sjögren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradagain Baadegaard in the 68th minute of the match. Bradagain Baadegaard struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Henrik Sjögren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fluminense. Sven Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sven Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fluminense's Sven Stenman got a free kick in the 80th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Oto in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carsten Sloothaak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Victorino Oto managed to get in a good position for a shot. ⒻC SⓌAG's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Oto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carsten Sloothaak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wincent Cytrynski was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. Wincent Cytrynski kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Fluminense's Torsten Höijer got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fluminense walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
