The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to IFK Vinkel getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Edgar Haegg hit a great ball. Ivar Ekblom didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when IFK Vinkel's Bertil Sefastsson shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience was convinced that Thor Borre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivar Ekblom was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, IFK Vinkel's Thor Borre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivar Ekblom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After recieving a nice pass, Larsberg's Magne Snäll tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 24thth minute of the game Thor Borre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larsberg's Ivar Ekblom was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 25th match minute, Larsberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. Larsberg's Ivar Ekblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Borre in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Bertil Sefastsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Ekblom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Christian Wikander fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Larsberg's protests and gave Christian Wikander a yellow card for diving instead. Christian Wikander kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ivar Ekblom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertil Sefastsson went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 45th minute, Sven Wallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulf Dalgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Ivar Ekblom stood somewhat misplaced when Bertil Sefastsson came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 53 minute. In the 61st minute, Sven Gudmundsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivar Ekblom was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Viktor Wall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IFK Vinkel's Kjell-Arne Wennerberg was substituted for Bertil Sefastsson. After 69 played minutes Larsberg got a freekick which was hit by Georg Sundberg. In the 73rd minute, Thor Borre reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivar Ekblom. The goal made the score 0-8. Kjell-Arne Wennerberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Ivar Ekblom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Larsberg's Ivar Ekblom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Larsberg from getting a goal against them. Bo Smedfeldt charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bo Smedfeldt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Larsberg got a freekick which was hit by Bo Smedfeldt. Ivar Ekblom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Haegg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Larsberg's Ivar Ekblom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thor Borre in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Viktor Wall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Ekblom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivar Ekblom was a little too slow when Sven Gudmundsson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-9. When the match was over IFK Vinkel could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Larsberg throughout the match.
