The coaching staff of Laxå IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Karl-Johan Samuelsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 70th match minute, Laxå IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Måns Löfgren to maneuver through the defense. Erik Albäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Larsfelt having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
