Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mellerud IK's Andreas Bagge started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Granö FK getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Johan Mjällby hit a great ball. Granö FK's Björn Hammarbäck got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Granö FK's Bertil Samuelsson made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melker Alströmmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Björn Hammarbäck came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Granö FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Björn Hammarbäck couldn't finish the play. Melker Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Samuelsson in the 20th minute of play. Aaron Alefors hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Granö FK's 林希谦 got control of the ball when Dag Öberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bertil Samuelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Dag Öberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 林希谦. Granö FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dag Öberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Granö FK's attentive Johan Mjällby managed to snatch the ball when Allan Magnusson made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. Bertil Samuelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melker Alströmmer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Öberg got free with 林希谦 in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 39 minutes of play Granö FK's Johan Mjällby was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Melker Alströmmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Björn Hammarbäck in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Hammarbäck to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Bagge in the 51st minute of play forced Granö FK's goalkeeper 林希谦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 林希谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Bagge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Björn Hammarbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Melker Alströmmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Bagge in the 57th minute of play forced Granö FK's goalkeeper 林希谦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Björn Hammarbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Melker Alströmmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Rainer Rahkola took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Melker Alströmmer to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Mellerud IK's zone, Björn Hammarbäck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melker Alströmmer came out of the goal and Björn Hammarbäck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Strandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Granö FK booed when Mellerud IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Pilblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Björn Hammarbäck made a precise shot to the right of Melker Alströmmer. Mellerud IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Granö FK's Bertil Samuelsson got a free kick in the 84th minute. 林希谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Blanck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Granö FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
