After 19 played minutes Mellerud IK got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Blanck. In the 21st match minute, Björklinge BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim Lundström to maneuver through the defense. Jim Lundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Melker Alströmmer made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Björklinge BK's Jim Lundström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Melker Alströmmer. Melker Alströmmer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Björklinge BK booed when Mellerud IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Holger Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrik Pilblad's late challenge caught a Björklinge BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Pilblad helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Björklinge BK booed when Mellerud IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Pilblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hodei Sordo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Bagge in the 38th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Timmy Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melker Alströmmer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Lundström in the 40th minute. Mellerud IK's Patrik Pilblad got his second yellow card of the match in the 40th minute. The referee ordered Patrik Pilblad off the ground. Andreas Sjödin kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Dag Öberg struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hodei Sordo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mellerud IK. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jim Lundström to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Rikard Walmarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melker Alströmmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dag Öberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hodei Sordo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rikard Walmarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Sjödin took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Melker Alströmmer. Melker Alströmmer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The supporters of Mellerud IK booed when Björklinge BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Sjödin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Jim Lundström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melker Alströmmer. Mellerud IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jim Lundström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Rikard Walmarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Jim Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hodei Sordo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dag Öberg in the 76th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Lundström in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melker Alströmmer saved Mellerud IK from getting behind. Melker Alströmmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jim Lundström in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute Jim Lundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Alströmmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Leonardo Strandberg put in a rough tackle. In the 95thth minute of the game Jim Lundström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellerud IK's Melker Alströmmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Melker Alströmmer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jim Lundström's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Björklinge BK had won after a very even match.
