In the 3rd minute, Jack Lidström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RB Göteborg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Vadstena's Axel Käcker got a free kick in the 6th minute. Dalmacio Catoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Hedbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 7th minute, Valdemar Hedbom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vadstena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Osvald Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Emiliano Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emiliano Martínez made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Fredric Tolsson sent off a good shot on target. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthon Söderström in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Erik Bergström got free with Emiliano Martínez in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emiliano Martínez was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Anthon Söderström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Anthon Söderström really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthon Söderström in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Vadstena's Emiliano Martínez got control of the ball when Sven-Erik Bergström tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Vadstena's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Bergström came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Samuel Karlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Martínez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Osvald Lindström. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by RB Göteborg's Sven-Erik Bergström. But to his dismay, Sven-Erik Bergström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Jack Lidströms short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Emiliano Martínez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 37 minutes Vadstena's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jack Lidström who took care of the corner kick. RB Göteborg's Jakob Aibert was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emiliano Martínez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an all-out effort, RB Göteborg's Emiliano Martínez threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anton Knutsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Erik Bergström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakob Aibert in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Vilgot Hernström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vadstena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RB Göteborg the free kick. In the 46th minute, Vilgot Hernström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olle Dahlbom to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Sven-Erik Bergström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiliano Martínez was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Emiliano Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Erik Bergström in the 60th minute of play. A collision led to Vadstena getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Anders Biörkman hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Vadstena's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Erik Bergström came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Vadstena got a freekick which was hit by Vilgot Hernström. In the 68th minute of the match Jack Lidström sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Martínez skillfully saved the ball. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Erik Bergström in the 70th minute of the match. Anders Biörkman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Catoni having to interfere. RB Göteborg's Thomas Håkansson was substituted for Sven-Erik Bergström. Emiliano Martínez came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by RB Göteborg's Thomas Håkansson. But to his dismay, Thomas Håkansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. RB Göteborg made a substitution. Lars-Erik Deckberg replaced Osvald Lindström. In the 83rd minute Thomas Håkansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vadstena's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Håkansson in the 88th minute of play. Axel Käcker's late challenge caught a RB Göteborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Käcker helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vadstena's Axel Käcker got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Jakob Aibert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emiliano Martínez skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Håkansson in the 92nd minute of play forced Vadstena's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the RB Göteborg players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
