Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Löfgren in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Catoni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Wilhelm Gregersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, RB Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Hjörleifur Hilmarsson came free, but Dalmacio Catoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hjörleifur Hilmarsson in the 70th minute of play forced RB Göteborg's goalkeeper Dalmacio Catoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in RB Göteborg's zone, Hjörleifur Hilmarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Catoni came out of the goal and Hjörleifur Hilmarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Hjörleifur Hilmarsson put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dalmacio Catoni. Roland Nordin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredric Tolsson in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Hjörleifur Hilmarsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmacio Catoni was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. A collision led to RB Göteborg getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gary Lepe hit a great ball. Dalmacio Catoni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Albom, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
