Nils Säv might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Martínez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nils Säv ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Göran Bocklund in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Martínez saved Vadstena from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Vadstena's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Salqvist came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes, Leonardo Rolfsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vadstena and the Ekhagens IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonardo Rolfsson kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Ekhagens IF's Christian Kilström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Martínez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emiliano Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Salqvist in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Göran Bocklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Vadstena's Olle Dahlbom got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Håkan Molander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Martínez. Vadstena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Molander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Emiliano Martínez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Kilström's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Christian Kilström sped through Vadstena's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emiliano Martínez. Leonardo Rolfsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Claes Pettersson made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Vadstena's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Bocklund came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Ekhagens IF's Göran Bocklund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emiliano Martínez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 44th minute Göran Bocklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olle Dahlbom was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Bocklund in the 52nd minute of play forced Vadstena's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Kilström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Emiliano Martínez made a huge save. When Leonardo Rolfsson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 56 minutes had been played. The supporters of Ekhagens IF booed when Vadstena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Rolfsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac Löfgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Emiliano Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Ekhagens IF got a freekick which was hit by 袁树棋. Vadstena's Emiliano Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Bocklund in the 72nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ekhagens IF's Christer Salqvist slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emiliano Martínez. That made the score 0-6 after 75 minutes of play. Ekhagens IF's Dráuzio Alves was substituted for Christian Kilström. Ekhagens IF's Erland Nyberg was substituted for Isaac Löfgren. Vadstena's Emiliano Martínez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Vadstena from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Ekhagens IF's 袁树棋 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Dráuzio Alves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Emiliano Martínez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Göran Bocklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Emiliano Martínez managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Ekhagens IF's Göran Bocklund fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Christer Salqvist took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Emiliano Martínez to make any attempt to save it. The Vadstena fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ekhagens IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
