With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt-Åke Lindberg in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Johan Ahlbom saved FC Raven Saints from getting behind. FC Raven Saints's Kalle Walroth got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Raven Saints's Vilhelm Svanström was substituted for Jens-Erik Rydberg. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Odén to make the kick off. The referee ignored FC Raven Saints's protests and gave Erik Fagerberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute Patrik Odén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Ahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 played minutes FC Raven Saints got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Bryngelsson.
