To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Börje Berg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klaus Overmars's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Linus Hegg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Börje Berg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Axel Kiempe made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ted Mårtensson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Julita getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Peter Nyberg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Wennerlund in the 41st minute of play forced Vålådalen IF's goalkeeper Axel Kiempe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jan Nykvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Vålådalen IF's Linus Hegg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Börje Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Axel Kiempe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Nykvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klaus Overmars made a kick off. Vålådalen IF's Axel Kiempe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Nykvist in the 50th minute of play. In the 53rd match minute, Vålådalen IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Dahlkvist to maneuver through the defense. Julita's Börje Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Overmars in the 57th minute of play. Axel Kiempe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Nykvist in the 61st minute of play. Patric Fagrell charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patric Fagrell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, Patric Fagrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Klaus Overmars's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Börje Berg was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Stefan Svanström's late challenge caught a Julita's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Svanström helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vålådalen IF! Vålådalen IF's Axel Kiempe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ted Mårtensson in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the game, Klaus Overmars was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vålådalen IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Julita the free kick. After 77 played minutes Vålådalen IF got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Overmars. In the 79th minute, Hubert Wennerlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Axel Kiempe was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Axel Kiempe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vålådalen IF's Axel Kiempe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Wennerlund in the 92nd minute of play. Axel Kiempe came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Julita's Hubert Wennerlund. But to his dismay, Hubert Wennerlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Vålådalen IF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
