Håkan Lidström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dana White in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erling Ersman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Henrik Ahlbeck kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Erling Ersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Gines in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erling Ersman saved Skutans FK from getting behind. In the 25th minute Dana White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Ersman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skutans FK's Erling Ersman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Dacio in the 26th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Skutans FK's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Gines came free, but Erling Ersman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, Forward BK's Dana White made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Forward BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skutans FK the free kick. 44 minutes into the game, one of Forward BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Isaac Deckbergh had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Stefan Rang's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball The Skutans FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Forward BK were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Gines to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dana White in the 53rd minute of play forced Skutans FK's goalkeeper Erling Ersman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Skutans FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Rang to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Giness short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Erling Ersman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Skutans FK's Erik Hallgren got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Forward BK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Forward BK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
