The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenny Alström got free with Börje Berg in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Julita's Börje Berg got control of the ball when Karl-Åke Apelkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Julita getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. David Helström hit a great ball. Julita's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Lars Wallgren scored to the left of an out of position Börje Berg, making the score, 2-0. Börje Berg was a little too slow when Karl-Åke Apelkvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. Börje Berg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Åke Apelkvist's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 23rdth minute of the game Karl-Åke Apelkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Julita's Börje Berg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With splendid footwork Lars Wallgren arrived in front of goal to shoot 4-0 by the left pole in the game's 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Julita's Hubert Wennerlund got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Kenny Alström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jubilo Iwata's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Alström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Julita's goalkeeper Börje Berg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Börje Berg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kenny Alström's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. If Kenny Alström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Wallgren in the 65th minute of play. Gustaf Henriksson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Stig-Åke Åström. In the 68thth minute of the game Kenny Alström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Julita's Börje Berg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Julita defense, Kenny Alström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börje Berg. The Julita fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börje Berg should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, Julita's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Wallgren came free, but Börje Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Kenny Alström made it 9-0 with a short kick to the right side. Julita's Börje Berg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Julita getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Greger Stålberg hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Karl-Åke Apelkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lars Wallgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Julita's zone, Kenny Alström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Börje Berg came out of the goal and Kenny Alström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julita's Börje Berg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Alström in the 92nd minute of play. Jubilo Iwata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
