In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind AIF's goalkeeper Jarl Andreasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Erik Odin could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Bengt-Rune Frykberg however easily saved by the left post. In the 27th minute Niklas Olsman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Alfred Sandström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt-Rune Frykberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bengt-Rune Frykberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Sandström in the 34th minute of the match. AIF were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Norsborg FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sven-Edvin Mogren took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Leonardo Hydén heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The crowd rose to their feet as AIF's Erik Odin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bengt-Rune Frykberg. That made the score 2-0 after 38 minutes of play.

The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Niklas Olsman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norsborg FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklas Olsman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarl Andreasson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AIF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
