Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raimundo Rey took the kick off in the first half of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Älmhult Flames's goal looked a bit too open when Christopher Pilberg came free, but Francois Keuppens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stefan Fredriksson scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francois Keuppens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Älmhult Flames getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Torsten Kristiansson hit a great ball. Christopher Pilberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Francois Keuppens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Fredriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. In the 31st match minute, Björnäs FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvid Fors to maneuver through the defense. Francois Keuppens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christopher Pilberg in the 36th minute of play. Älmhult Flames's Dan Olenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arvid Fors hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Stefan Fredriksson made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Älmhult Flames getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Mark Sandell hit a great ball. Christopher Pilberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francois Keuppens having to interfere. When Christopher Pilberg came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Björnäs FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Pilberg couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Fredriksson in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francois Keuppens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the game, Nils-Åke Bengtsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Älmhult Flames's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Björnäs FF the free kick. The supporters of Björnäs FF booed when Älmhult Flames was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Pilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mark Sandell fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Älmhult Flames's protests and gave Mark Sandell a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Älmhult Flames getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Mark Sandell hit a great ball. The long shot by Jens-Ove Berglund in the 73rd minute really tested Francois Keuppens's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Christopher Pilberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Älmhult Flames's Francois Keuppens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Fredriksson in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Dan Olenberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Björnäs FF's Algot Modig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christopher Pilberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francois Keuppens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stefan Fredriksson in the 89th minute of the match. The Björnäs FF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
