Alberto Tajo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Stål in the 14th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Helsingborg IF's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Kollberg came free, but Orhan Seyfi Can reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orhan Seyfi Can made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Åke Karlsson in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Foro in the 24th minute of play forced Green Day FC's goalkeeper Alberto Tajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Lewicki hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 41 minutes, Per-Erik Stål mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Helsingborg IF and the Green Day FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Helsingborg IF's Per-Erik Stål got a free kick in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anton Tidén to make the kick off. During the 51st minute of the match Per-Erik Stål completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent.
