The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Martinsson got free with Sven Finsberg in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 minutes, Jens-Erik Kristiansson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Åbyggeby FK's Sven Finsberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jens-Ola Engman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Öberg in the 11th minute of the match. Jens-Erik Kristiansson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. Michel Brodin hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Jens-Ola Engman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Pihlgren in the 17th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Jens-Erik Kristiansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Finsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åbyggeby FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mattias Björck was slow to take the kick. During this time Syrianska FC's players had a chance to rest. Syrianska FC's Mattias Björck was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sven Finsberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Åbyggeby FK's zone, Elliott Forssell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Finsberg came out of the goal and Elliott Forssell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Åbyggeby FK's Eric Molander seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Eric Molander the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Åbyggeby FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eric Molander had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Syrianska FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Oskar Johansson hit a great ball. Vidar Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Jens-Ola Engman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åbyggeby FK. After 39 minutes, Lars Öberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åbyggeby FK and the Syrianska FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39th minute, Lars Öberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mattias Björck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jens-Ola Engman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Öberg in the 43rd minute of the match. Mattias Björck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Finsberg having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Oliver Pettersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åbyggeby FK and the Syrianska FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oliver Pettersson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Lars Öberg came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Åbyggeby FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars Öberg couldn't finish the play. After 58 minutes, Elliott Forssell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Syrianska FC and the Åbyggeby FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elliott Forssell kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Jens-Ola Engman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åbyggeby FK's Sven Finsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Erik Kristiansson in the 72nd minute of play. Åbyggeby FK's Per-Arne Söderkvist was substituted for Erling Valler. Åbyggeby FK made a substitution. Oskar Billvall replaced Lars Öberg. Syrianska FC were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Åbyggeby FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mattias Björck took the corner. Michel Brodin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Karl-Oskar Pihlgren placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. After a rather tough play, Syrianska FC's Sven-Arne Viklund got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Mattias Björck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskar Billvall kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Åbyggeby FK's Oskar Billvall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jens-Ola Engman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Åbyggeby FK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Syrianska FC.
