Tanek Brudzisz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Andreas Bocklund fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elano FF's protests and gave Andreas Bocklund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Elano FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Bocklund to maneuver through the defense. Tanek Brudzisz came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Elano FF's Niklas Palmkvist. But to his dismay, Niklas Palmkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mieszko Puzio to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute, Cafu Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Menofta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niklas Palmkvist got free with Tanek Brudzisz in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Niklas Palmkvist notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Menofta's Tanek Brudzisz. Tanek Brudzisz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tanek Brudzisz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niklas Palmkvist in the 73rd minute. Peter Granström's late challenge caught a Menofta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Granström helped the player get up and apologised. 90 minutes into the match, Elano FF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Viklund came free, but Petter Örtlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Elano FF's Charles Olsmann got a free kick in the 91st minute. Lars Viklund shot from long distance after 92 played minutes, a shot that Petter Örtlund with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. The Elano FF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elano FF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
