When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Örjan Johansson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Karl-Åke Bolander. The supporters of Blåvitt booed when Horna IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aleksander Back didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 played minutes, Blåvitt's Michel Lundberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl-Åke Bolander came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Blåvitt reached it. Karl-Åke Bolander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gösta Lundberg's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Örjan Johansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blåvitt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The Blåvitt fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Blåvitt's Gösta Lundberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Horna IF's Karl-Åke Bolander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Johansson in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Michel Lundberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Karl-Åke Bolander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26thth minute of the game Gösta Lundberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horna IF's Karl-Åke Bolander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Horna IF's goal looked a bit too open when Örjan Johansson came free, but Karl-Åke Bolander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Gösta Lundberg put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Karl-Åke Bolander. The audience was convinced that Gösta Lundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Åke Bolander was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gösta Lundberg in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Åke Bolander saved Horna IF from getting behind. Karl-Åke Bolander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Johansson in the 43rd minute of play. Blåvitt's Gösta Lundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Johansson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karl-Åke Bolander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Gösta Lundberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blåvitt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. After the first half Blåvitt were leading 0-10. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gösta Lundberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Karl-Åke Bolander skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Örjan Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blåvitt's supporters rose to their feet, but Örjan Johansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Åke Bolander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gösta Lundberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-11 to the left of a surprised Karl-Åke Bolander 55 minutes into the match. Gösta Lundberg hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 60 minutes, the score became 0-12 when Gösta Lundberg sped through Horna IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Karl-Åke Bolander. In the 67th minute of the match Blåvitt got a corner. Horna IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stefan Eriksson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jesper Burman heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 69th minute, Örjan Johansson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Karl-Åke Bolander, passed just outside the right post. The Blåvitt fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Blåvitt's Gösta Lundberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Karl-Åke Bolander was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Jesper Burman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casper Lööf struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Mike Cassar Torreggiani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Horna IF. Gösta Lundberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Örjan Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Magnus Kvick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blåvitt's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
