The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nestor Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Gelacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Xove Contreras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Nestor Nunes made a huge save. Xove Contreras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Beetlejuice's goalkeeper Nestor Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xove Contreras. Beetlejuice's Nestor Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Beetlejuice from getting a goal against them. Sixten Bokelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Matthiessen in the 16th minute of play. Kristian Bäcklin kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Bergnorden IF's Lennart Kihlman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nestor Nunes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 27th minute, Xove Contreras fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 31st minute, Xove Contreras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nestor Nunes made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Kristian Bäcklin sent off a good shot on target. If Stig Matthiessen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Braulio Gelacio got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Bergnorden IF. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Xove Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergnorden IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Xove Contreras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergnorden IF's goalkeeper Sixten Bokelund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Karl-Oskar Söder fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bergnorden IF's protests and gave Karl-Oskar Söder a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Karl-Oskar Söder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xove Contreras to make the kick off. After 53 minutes Beetlejuice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ove Wiberg who took care of the corner kick. Braulio Gelacio made a great header on Bergnorden IF's corner, it was just that Beetlejuice's Nestor Nunes managed to reach the ball for a save. The Bergnorden IF fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Bergnorden IF's Braulio Gelacio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rutger Örtendal hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Beetlejuice's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patric Kvalfält in the 68th minute. The corner led to Beetlejuice's Gottfrid Tingelholm getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Braulio Gelacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nestor Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Karl-Oskar Söder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xove Contreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bergnorden IF's goalkeeper Sixten Bokelund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beetlejuice's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
