Spectators: 7724 (Terracing: 5794, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xove Contreras started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Bergnorden IF's Braulio Gelacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michael Apelkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xove Contreras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michael Apelkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. If Arkadiusz Kossakowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Cem Onursev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, FTU's goal looked a bit too open when Ove Wiberg came free, but Michael Apelkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xove Contreras came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Michael Apelkvist could save by the left post. After taking down the ball on Bergnorden IF's corner Kristian Bäcklin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Michael Apelkvist quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Apelkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xove Contreras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, FTU's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Bäcklin came free, but Michael Apelkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Xove Contreras dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Michael Apelkvist, 1-0. In the 34th minute Bergnorden IF were awarded a corner. Ove Wiberg went to the cornerflag to take it. FTU's Michael Apelkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Gelacio in the 37th minute of play. Christian Svanström kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arkadiusz Kossakowski to make the kick off. After 50 minutes, Arkadiusz Kossakowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FTU and the Bergnorden IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 50 played minutes FTU got a freekick which was hit by Arkadiusz Kossakowski. Andreas Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Braulio Gelacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bergnorden IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Michael Apelkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Bäcklin in the 59th minute of play. When Bergnorden IF's Kristian Bäcklin in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FTU's goalie prevented a goal. Arkadiusz Kossakowski in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sixten Bokelund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 72nd minute Bergnorden IF were awarded a corner. Ove Wiberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Ove Wiberg made a great header on Bergnorden IF's corner, it was just that FTU's Michael Apelkvist managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Bergnorden IF getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Kristian Bäcklin hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kristian Bäcklin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergnorden IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Kristian Bäcklin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Apelkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute Kristian Bäcklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Apelkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Kristian Bäcklin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arkadiusz Kossakowski in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixten Bokelund saved Bergnorden IF from getting behind. In the 91st minute Arkadiusz Kossakowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Bokelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
