After a defensive mix-up in Durgas springpojkar's zone, Stig Hasselqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamin Abelsson came out of the goal and Stig Hasselqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sivert Holmgren charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sivert Holmgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl-Erik Lundgren hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Vito Furlan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcus Ennegren. In the 27th minute Sven-Olof Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Abelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Durgas springpojkar got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Örtlund. After 32 minutes Durgas springpojkar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sture Lägdin who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Sture Lägdin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Durgas springpojkar's Benjamin Abelsson did a great save. After 34 minutes Höglunda IK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcus Ennegren who took care of the corner kick. 35 minutes had been played when some careless play by Höglunda IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcus Ennegren was slow to take the kick. During this time Durgas springpojkar's players had a chance to rest. Edvin Svanström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Benjamin Abelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Abelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Hasselqvist in the 40th minute of play. When Marcus Ennegren fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durgas springpojkar's protests and gave Marcus Ennegren a yellow card for diving instead. Marcus Ennegren kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Durgas springpojkar's Ernst Lidström got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Lundgren during the 47th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Ennegren to strike the kick off in the second half. Sven-Olof Sjöberg struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Benjamin Abelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Höglunda IK. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stig Hasselqvist in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Abelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Höglunda IK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
