An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Sousa in the 4th minute of play forced Höglunda IK's goalkeeper Vito Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Ahlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Furlan came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Bräcke FC's Vicente Sousa. But to his dismay, Vicente Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Bräcke FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Höglunda IK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eddie Malmgren took the corner. Eddie Malmgren made a great header on Bräcke FC's corner, it was just that Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan managed to reach the ball for a save. Sven-Olof Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 22 minutes, Vicente Sousa made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kalle Bergqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kalle Bergqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Peter Ahlin came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Höglunda IK's Sven-Olof Sjöberg. But to his dismay, Sven-Olof Sjöberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Erik Lundgren during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Karl-Erik Lundgren kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vicente Sousa got free with Vito Furlan in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Ahlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Haglund in the 40th minute of the match. Peter Ahlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Erik Lundgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Vicente Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bräcke FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vito Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Höglunda IK booed when Bräcke FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Sven-Olof Sjöberg made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bräcke FC's Eddie Malmgren got a free kick in the 51st minute. If Sture Lägdin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Sousa in the 55th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Peter Haglund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Höglunda IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bräcke FC the free kick. In the 56th match minute, Höglunda IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Haglund to maneuver through the defense. When Bräcke FC's Vicente Sousa in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Höglunda IK's goalie prevented a goal. Calle Ahlquist's late challenge caught a Höglunda IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calle Ahlquist helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Calle Ahlquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Höglunda IK's Peter Ahlin threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stig Hasselqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Eddie Malmgren fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bräcke FC's protests and gave Eddie Malmgren a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Bräcke FC got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Malmgren. In the 79th minute, Kalle Bergqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vito Furlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Höglunda IK's zone, Kalle Bergqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vito Furlan came out of the goal and Kalle Bergqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Ahlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Bräcke FC got a freekick which was hit by Christer Hermansson. 94 minutes into the match, Bräcke FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Bremming came free, but Peter Ahlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bräcke FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Höglunda IK for much of the match.
