The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Inge Valler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Löfgren having to interfere. Karl Löfgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inge Valler, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Karl Löfgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Lindqvist in the 13th minute of play. Karl Löfgren came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Holger Lindqvist. But to his dismay, Holger Lindqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Hammarby IF's Inge Valler got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Jan Billock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karl Löfgren. Mordankan FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan Billock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Holger Lindqvist in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Karl Löfgren, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Hammarby IF getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Inge Valler hit a great ball. The supporters of Mordankan FC booed when Hammarby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Valler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Löfgren was a little too slow when Holger Lindqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 5-0. When Hammarby IF's Holger Lindqvist in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Holger Lindqvist to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Inge Valler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hammarby IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0.
