Flock of Eagles's Esbjörn Lindell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Flock of Eagles from getting a goal against them. Degeberga's Jan-Åke Lang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olle Sigman in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Osvald Malm notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Flock of Eagles's Esbjörn Lindell. Esbjörn Lindell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Velichko Duhalov kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Degeberga's Folker Alberts managed to work through Flock of Eagles's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Folker Alberts dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 25 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Osvald Malm came free, but Esbjörn Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Esbjörn Lindell managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Degeberga's Folker Alberts fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 28th minute, Kent Asklöv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvald Backlund succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Degeberga's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Kvist came free, but Jan-Åke Lang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Degeberga's Folker Alberts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Lindell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sabin Mergea was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Flock of Eagles's Sabin Mergea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan-Åke Lang made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 55 minutes into the match, Degeberga's Folker Alberts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Esbjörn Lindell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute Folker Alberts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sabin Mergea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jan-Åke Lang. That made the score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. Jan-Åke Lang made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Osvald Backlund sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute of the match Osvald Malm sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Esbjörn Lindell skillfully saved the ball. After 74 played minutes Degeberga got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Lundhberg. 75 minutes into the match, Degeberga's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Lang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vilhelm Kvist. Esbjörn Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvald Malm in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sabin Mergea in the 79th minute of play forced Degeberga's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Kvist kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Helge Rudqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Esbjörn Lindell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Helge Rudqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Esbjörn Lindell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Chinonyelum Omogo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esbjörn Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esbjörn Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo-Erik Lundhberg in the 92nd minute of the match. Jan-Åke Lang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Mergea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Flock of Eagles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flock of Eagles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
